MEALS

Tour meals are included as indicated in your itinerary.
In the countryside, most ger camps offer a mix of European-style dishes and traditional Mongolian meals, with an emphasis on meat-based dishes. Meat—usually beef, mutton, or chicken—is a central part of Mongolian cuisine and is commonly served for both lunch and dinner, accompanied by vegetables, salads, and soups.

Breakfast

Breakfast at ger camps typically includes:

  • Tea or coffee

  • Bread with butter and jam

  • Eggs and sausage

  • Occasionally, cookies, cheese, cereals, pancakes, or porridge

Lunch

  • During the tour, we will stop at authentic local restaurants for lunch. You can choose one main dish and a fresh salad, and the portions are usually generous, giving you a genuine taste of local flavors and plenty to enjoy.

  • At lunchtime, you will find coffee shops and supermarkets where you can purchase cold drinks, ice cream, specialty sweets, or a freshly brewed Americano or espresso. It is an excellent opportunity to treat yourself.

Dinner

Dinner at tourist camps generally includes:

  • Salad

  • A main course

  • A light dessert

  • Tea

Meals with Nomad Families

When staying with nomadic families, you will enjoy authentic home-cooked Mongolian meals that are often hearty and straightforward. Mongolian households do not typically prepare many dishes at once, so meals are served in a traditional, concise manner.

Dietary Needs

If you are a vegetarian or have dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so we can make the appropriate arrangements. Vegetarian options are available at most camps, but variety can be limited in remote areas, so early notice is essential.
