A DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1.

ARRIVAL DAY & CITY TOUR

Today, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 9:00 AM to begin a full city tour of Ulaanbaatar focused on Mongolia’s history, culture, and spiritual heritage.

You will visit the National Museum of Mongolia or the Chinggis Khan Museum, followed by a walk through Sukhbaatar Square, the symbolic heart of the capital.

The tour continues to Gandantegchinlen Monastery, Mongolia’s most important active Buddhist monastery, and the Bogd Khan Winter Palace, once the residence of Mongolia’s last theocratic ruler.

Later, enjoy panoramic views of the city from Zaisan Memorial, which overlooks the entire capital.

In the evening, attend a traditional Mongolian folklore concert at 6:00 PM, featuring throat singing, music, and dance. After the performance, enjoy dinner before transferring back to your hotel.

DAY 2.

DRIVE TO ELSEN TASARKHAI SEMI-DESERT & KHOGNO KHAN NATURAL RESERVE

This morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the Elsen Tasarkhai semi-desert. sustainable travel 

The area is surrounded by sand dunes, hills covered with rare bushes, and a small forest near a river. This presents a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forests, and Gobi-type landscapes in one location.​ sustainable travel

DAY 3.

DRIVE TO 13TH CENTURY CAPITAL KHARKHORUM & UNESCO'S HERITAGE SITE OF ERDENEZUU MONASTERY

We will drive to the ancient capital city of Kharkhorum. In 1220, the great Chinggis Khan declared it the capital city of his vast Empire. sustainable travel 

Today, many exciting sites are left to visit: the legendary turtle rock sculptures, Buddhist stupas, and the ruins of this once-great city, to name a few. Erdenezuu, the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, was established in 1586. Today, Erdenezuu Monastery still shows its glory with its collections of priceless religious objects and stunning Mongolian art.

DAY 4.

DRIVE TO KHORGO VOLCANO & TERKHIIN TSAGAAN NUUR "WHITE LAKE"

After breakfast, we will drive to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur. Today, we will visit the extinct Khorgo volcano by trekking to its giant crater, which once spewed hot lava (7,000 years ago). Khorgo Mountain was a dormant volcano on the east shore of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake. The volcano crater of the Togoo Uul is covered with Siberian Larch.​ sustainable travel 

Next, we will drive to Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, formed when Khorgo volcano lava dammed the Suman River, cutting a massive gorge through the basalt. It is an astonishingly beautiful lake and the right spot for bird-watching and fishing.

DAY 5.

DRIVE TO ZUUN NUUR 

After breakfast, we begin a scenic, approximately 5-hour drive to Zuun Lake, passing through vast steppe landscapes on the way to Khuvsgul National Park.

Zuun Lake is a quiet, picturesque freshwater lake known as a pleasant stop for birdwatching and relaxation in nature. The peaceful surroundings make it an ideal place to stretch your legs, enjoy the open landscape, and observe local birdlife before continuing the journey toward northern Mongolia.

DAY 6.

DRIVE TO KHUVSGUL LAKE

Today, we will drive to Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia's most profound and purest lake. Known as the Blue Pearl of Mongolia, it borders Siberia and has magnificent landscape views. 

We will also embark on a trek to the lakeside and mountains for photo-taking sessions, exploring and enjoying the wildlife, flora, and fauna of the Khuvsgul Lake area.

DAY 7.

LEISURE DAY AT KHUVSGUL LAKE 

This morning, we will proceed on horseback to the Khuvsgul Lake area and walk around the lake. sustainable travel  

If you want, you can rent a canoe to travel to Khusliin Khad, "Wishing Rock," Ireland, so time flies quickly. We may see reindeer, taking a memorable picture of an unforgettable experience.

DRIVE TO URANTOGOO VOLCANO

DRIVE TO AMARBAYASGALANT MONSTERY

This morning, after having breakfast, we will drive to Amarbayasgalant Monastery; its name means" monastery of the quiet felicity," and it is located near the Selenge River at the foot of Mount Burenkhan. sustainable travel ​
