After its destruction in the 14th century, the remains of Kharkhorum were later used to build Erdene Zuu Monastery in the 16th century. Upon arrival, we visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia's first Buddhist monastery, and explore its historic complex and museum. Lunch will be served locally.
In the afternoon, we continue to Ugii Lake, a peaceful freshwater lake known for its birdlife and open steppe scenery. Ugii Lake is a Ramsar-listed wetland and a popular spot for photography, birdwatching, and fishing. After arrival, you may relax by the shore or take an optional boat trip on the lake.

DRIVE BACK TO ULAANBAATAR CITY VIA CHINGGIS KHAN EQUESTRIAN STATUE COMPLEX AND TERELJ NATIONAL PARK

This morning, after having a hearty breakfast at our tourist camp, we will drive to the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex. The complex was built in 2008, on the eight-hundredth anniversary of the Mongolian Empire's foundation, in honor of its founder, Chinggis Khan. The complex also has a museum to explore and some souvenir shops.
We will then take a short drive to Terelj National Park, renowned for its breathtaking beauty. The park combines towering granite cliffs, lush forests, and meandering rivers, making it one of the most picturesque places to visit.
