Day 1. Drive to Terelj National Park

Today, we will drive to Terelj National Park, considered one of the most beautiful places worth visiting because it combines sharp mountains with granite cliffs, forests, and rivers. Once we get there, we will see the Aryabal Buddhist meditation temple.

The park looks so beautiful and peaceful from the top of the temple. We will have lunch at Terelj National Park. After that, we will ride a horse for 1 hour. Then, we drive to Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex.

Our next attraction is the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex, built in 2008 on the eight-hundredth anniversary of the Mongolian Empire's foundation in honor of its founder, Chinggis Khan.

This giant stainless steel statue weighs 250 tons and is 40 meters (131 feet) high; it's the tallest statue representing a man on horseback in the world. After exploring the complex, we will drive to our 13th-century complex theme park to explore overnight.

Day 2. 13th Century Complex & back to the City

13th century complex theme park offers insight onto lifestyle, art and crafts of the 13th century and is located 100 km east of Ulaanbaatar by 80 km paved roads and 20 earth road.

The complex has 6 different camps and tribes, located at a distance of 1-3 kilometers from each other, where you can experience the way of living and working in the 13th century. It is needed to drive between the camp and sometimes hiking over rocky and uneven surfaces. Therefore, make sure your shoes are suitable for the experience.

The area that surrounds the park is rugged with picturesque open valleys day time and the nights are amazing with countless bright stars. As the complex imitates the 13th century, there is no internet, shower, phone reception (there is G-mobile signal at certain point) and electricity to disturb you enjoy the nature, nomad living and stargazing. The view is the best when you travel in summer.
