TOUR OVERVIEW
Travel with us for an adventure horse trek to Gunjiin Sum "Princess Temple". This remote village is difficult to access with a vehicle and we will be traveling in total autonomy on horseback with pack-horses to carry the equipment.
Gunjiin soum hosts the Princess Temple dedicated to a Mongolian nobleman, Dondovdorj, a Chinese wife. She was a peaceful princess who loved her adopted country and people.
Your trek will start at the end of the paved road in Terelj National Park crossing a large river and continuing throughout a beautiful landscape made of rivers, forests, steppe valleys, and mountains with rich flora.
The further you will ride, the fewer nomadic families you will meet. This will be a wonderful immersion in Mongolia's quiet nature. However, don't be surprised if you hear wolves during the night! The road can be difficult depending on the weather conditions, as it can transform into large swamp areas after rainfalls. We, therefore, recommend it to people who are used to challenging treks and conditions and comfortable on and around horses.

This giant stainless steel statue weighs 250 tons and is 40 meters (131 feet) high; it's the tallest statue representing a man on horseback in the world. After exploring the complex, we will drive to Terelj National Park,
considered one of the most beautiful places worth visiting because it combines sharp mountains with granite cliffs, forests, and rivers. Once we get there, we will see the Aryabal Buddhist meditation temple. The park looks so beautiful and peaceful from the top of the temple. Overnight at a tourist camp.
Day 3. Galloping through vast steppe and valleys (B/L/D)
As you continue your journey, you'll notice a decrease in the number of nomadic families you encounter. This section of the trek is among the most challenging. Eventually, you'll reach Gunjin Sum, where you'll set up camp for the night.
