Day 1. Drive to Elsen-Tasarkhai Semi Desert (L/D)

Today, we will pick you up from where you are and drive to the Elsen-Tasarkhai semi-desert. The area is surrounded by sand dunes, hills covered with rare bushes, and a small forest near a river. This presents a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forests, and Gobi-type landscape in one location.

Once we get there, explore the area, visit Uvgun Temple, and experience the lifestyle of a nomadic family in a traditional Mongolian ger. We will ride the camel, walk on sand dunes, and relax in beautifully serene nature.

For dinner, we will have a traditional Mongolian BBQ. Overnight at a tourist camp.

Day 2. Drive to 13th century capital Kharkhorum and Ugii Lake (B/L/D)

In the morning, we will drive to the Kharkorum, the Great Mongolian Empire's ancient capital. The city served as the Mongolian capital for only 40 years (until Khubilai Khaan moved it to Beijing). Chinese soldiers later destroyed most of the city during the second half of the 14th century. The remnants of the town were used to build the ErdeneZuu Monastery in the 16th century.

Upon arrival in the Kharkorum, the first and most prominent landmark is the massive walls of the Erdenezuu Monastery, the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. Explore the area, visit the museum, and then drive to beautiful Ugii Lake. Once we get there, we will take a boat trip. Overnight at a tourist camp.

Day 3. Drive to Hustai National Park (B/L/D)

This morning, we will embark on an eco-friendly tour to Hustai National Park, renowned for its successful reintroduction of Przewalski's horse (Equus przewalskii), the last remaining wild horse species, since 1992. Known as the Takhi in Mongolian, these majestic creatures now roam freely in their native homeland once again.

The park and its surrounding landscapes offer a rich blend of nature and culture, making it a perfect destination for eco-conscious travelers. As part of our eco-friendly tours, we aim to explore the heart of Asia while minimizing our environmental footprint, supporting wildlife conservation, and promoting sustainable travel practices. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the remarkable success of conservation efforts, while respecting the delicate balance of this beautiful environment. Overnight stay at Hustai NP’s tourist camp, where sustainability is a priority in all aspects of the camp’s operations. Experience Mongolia’s wilderness in harmony with nature!
