The "Ice Festival" will be held simultaneously with the International Skating Event, including some enjoyable activities such as shamanic live performances, sumo wrestling on the ice, horse sleigh competition, and ice driving.

Winter city tour

Day 1. /28 Feb/ Arrival Day & City Tour (L)

This morning, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to a hotel, and if you want, you can rest for a while. Then, we will start our city tour with the National History Museum, Chinggis Square, Gandan-Tegchilen monastery, and Zaisan Hill memorial. Overnight at the Hotel***.

Day 2. /1 Mar/Fly to Murun Khuvsgul Province (B/L/D)

We will fly to the northern part of Mongolia to Khuvsgol Lake National Park. We will arrive in Murun town, and on the way, we will visit Uushgiin Uvur Deerstones. Then, head to the Lake and stay overnight at Ger camp on the Shore of Khuvsgol Lake.

Day 3. /2 Mar/ Ice-Festival Day (B/L/D)

The Ice Festival has been running for five years, organized yearly on frozen Khuvsgul Lake by National Park rangers, residents, and businesses. A respite from the confinement of the winter months, the Ice Festival is a time to get outdoors and play games.
The festival features residents and nomadic reindeer herders and performances by shamans, musicians, and sportspeople. Competitions include ice sumo, a horse sled race, skating races, a tug of war between local teams, and a Russian Jeep race on the ice. Many traditional games are played on the sidelines, and this is an ideal venue for visitors to join in the fun and games with local people. The festival is held at Khar-Us on Khuvsgul Lake, a short drive north of Khatgal across the frozen lake ice

Day 4. /3 Mar/ Khuvsgul Lake Ice Festival /Back to Ulaanbaatar (B/L/D)

- Competition for car driving skills on the ice.
- Wrestling competition on the ice
- Competition for short Skating marathon
- Horse sled racing
- Closing ceremony and bonfire

Fly back to Ulaanbaatar. 

Chinggis Khan Equestrian statue complex

Day 5. /4 Mar/ Drive to Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue complex, Terelj National Park (B/L/D)

This morning, we will fly back to Ulaanbaatar city. Once we land, we will drive to Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex, built in 2008, on the eight-hundredth anniversary of the Mongolian Empire's foundation in honor of its founder, Chinggis Khan. This giant stainless steel statue weighs 250 tons and is 40 meters (131 feet) high; it's the tallest statue representing a man on horseback in the world.  

Our next stop will be Terelj National Park; once we get there, we will ride a horse for 1 hour through a beautiful valley and visit the Araybal meditation temple. Overnight at a tourist ger guesthouse. 

Dog sledding tour

Day 6. /5 Mar/ Dog sledding tour / Back to Ulaanbaatar  (B/L)

This morning, we will drive briefly to the dog sledding camp and start sledding, which will continue for about 4 hours. After that, we will drive back to the city. We will be in the city around 4 pm. Then, if you want, we will do some shopping and have a farewell dinner. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 7. /6 Mar/ Departure (B)

This morning, after you have breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up from your hotel and drop you off at the International airport. Departure!
